Indoor Theatre Productions

In addition to its many open air and non traditional performance spaces, Tall Hat also stages indoor productions for arts centres and theatre spaces. Director Ali adapts well loved literary classics for both family and adult audiences which are  toured nationally throughout the year.

Past indoor touring productions include The Railway Children, Little Women, Far From the Madding Crowd and Tess of The D’urbervilles. Ali is currently developing Greenwood, an immersive Thomas Hardy Christmas experience, for indoor performance spaces. The piece interweaves well loved Hardy festive scenes with traditional folk music, carols,dance and poetry and brings many of Hardy’s central characters to life. 

Our indoor theatre productions use full scale sets, projections, music and special effects and can be performed in-the-round or pros arch. 

We specialise in integrating life size puppetry into our family targeted performances.

Full tech specs, lighting states/plots are supplied in advance and get-in/outs can take place on the day of performance.
